Nessie LochNess aka cheese or creamy cheesy baby breezy was full of life. She was the third of my pack of bassets. She was the wild child and completed our family. She grew up in Denver and traveled cross country to Florida. We all volunteered with a basset rescue and she helped rehabilitate many dogs over the years, showing them what a happy, healthy home life looks like. She spent her days chewing bones, squeaking toys much larger than herself and loved to sun in the yard or romp in the snow. She was a sucker for food (cheese was her weakness) and was known for her ridiculous bay. She wasn’t quite basset, not quite beagle, when it came to her howl. It was just a loud mess but she was our loud mess and we love her deeply. She was the baby, and she will always be the baby, even traveling into the afterlife at her old age of 9. We love you Nessie baby. Easy, breezy, beautiful, basset girl.
A candle was lit in memory of Nessie LochNess aka Cheese.
