Suzie was born at home with 12 other siblings by a 8 year old mother who played and loved her for the first 2 years of her life. Suzie always had me as her Mom too and I loved and cared for her until her passage at the age of almost 14. Before bladder cancer took my baby, she loved to chase squirrels, hello-bark at the folks who were within earshot of her, escape the back yard by swimming in the lake, around the fences on occasion and always looked forward to rides in the front seat of the car or the truck. The word “treat” or “snack” sent her into swirling jumps up and down, just like a puppy, no matter her age. She always knew when I was going out. . .putting on the shoes was the trigger, before hearing the car keys rattle. She always wanted to go and I felt terrible seeing at her watching me go thru the window or screen porch door. Towards the end, she would lay her paws across my feet when at the kitchen or bathroom sinks or at the couch, so I would stay put. I miss my little Suzie so much and being at home is painfully difficult. She was my first dog and probably my last. It was an honor and privilege to be your Mom. I miss you every waking moment. Rest in peace my sweet precious girl and we will meet again some day.
