We lived in a condo in Miami that did not allow pets. We found this beautiful black and white kitty running around in the parking lot. All she did was cry (Whine) not your regular cry. We would go out several times a day to feed her and her bff ( Juniorette). Whiner always crying. She was so friendly and would let you pet her almost immediately. When we decided to leave Miami, we caught both cats and bought them to Sebastian. The night we got here, Whiner settled in on the front porch, just like she knew this was home. Juniorette left, never to be seen again.
Our Whiner was so special. She had been an outside kitty when our paths crossed. She was a talker. She learned very quickly that she was going to get fed by these people whom she had just met. We lived in a condo that didn’t allow pets so we snuck around to feed her. When we left for work, she was always near our cars, like she was saying goodbye. When we came home it was like she knew it was time and she would be sitting either on the stoop near our door or sitting up in the tree next to the door. But she was always close. When it came time for us to move we knew we had to bring her with us. We never realized how truly special she was till she became ours. She wasn’t your typical cat. She minded very well. Never clawed furniture, never ran away. She would actually come when you called her and was more like a well trained puppy. We actually had compliments on how well she minded us, even when we were outside with her. She never wandered very far from us. She just loved being with us. Such a special girl. Rest In Peace, my sweet girl. Our little Whiner had a special quality about her that made her different from your usual everyday kitty. She loved to be with us, no matter where we were. She would go outside with us and follow us around the yard, never wandering very far from us. There were a few times when she saw some squirrels across the street, she would start to chase after them, we would say,”Whiner, No! “ and she would come back to us and just watch from the distance. |
