I purchased Daphne on a whim back in 2010 from a seedy pet shop in Taylor, MI. The pet shop ended up being raided by the FBI a few years after, but that’s a story for another day. She was labeled a pure breed Lab, but as she grew, I learned that she was barely a lab. She ended up being a 95lb bear-looking thing with long fluffy hair. She was perfect. She lived 12 years and weathered many storms with me, bringing nothing but joy and fun to my life.I have many stories about her, but my favorite was one day I was cleaning my bathroom with the window open and I could hear a peculiar noise. I peeked outside and saw Daphne had stollen my neighbor’s Halloween decoration and was decimating it. She knew how to let off some steam. I’m glad she is at peace now and I will never stop loving her. Thank you for listening to our story!
