I rescued Jessie from the Brevard Humane Society on 11/23/2011, the day before Thanksgiving. Jessie was thrown over a fence by his previous owner, abandoning him on a cold night on 10/12/2004. We never knew his Birthday, or his age, so his shelter date was the start of his new beginning with us. We knew he was older than what they said, some 7-9 years then, but we didn’t care. Rotten teeth and breath distinctively hidden with 47 breath mints on that day…Alicia and I went and got him and brought him Home. He was so loyal, regal, strong, proud and true. He appreciated his new family unlike any dog I’ve ever knew. He guarded and protected Mom and his Mister, Squirttle, Scoop, Meika and Sissy. He had NO FEAR and was always on guard. He scarred Daddy, but he never meant to…he was scared…It is never easy to lose something you love, but it reminds me that sometimes God needs help in soothing the souls He has in Heaven, so he takes the ones that impact us the most to help Him in his time of comfort. Words have no justice to say how much I will miss you Jessie. Dad, Mister, Meika, Sissy Alicia, Mee-Maw, Pee-Paw, Buddy, Aunt Cinnie, Uncle JC, Cal-Cal, Uncle Michael, Aunt Tab, Panzer, Tiki, Michael, Mina, Aunt Nikkie, Uncle Iz, Tiera, Li11y, Aunt Guida, Brad, Shane, Derwick and all of his family, friends and loved ones will miss you. Janet, Bobo, Barney, Squirttle, Scoop, Sadie…you will never have to worry about when I will get there. Jessie will let you know with his bunny hop grunts of his happy dance he always greeted me with…I will continue to love you and hug you in my dreams…I love you my Jessie…my boy.

They say that all dogs go to heaven, well…my Boy sits next to God Himself.
